DRIP IRRIGATION

• Plant biz recommends installing fully automatic drip irrigation to all new plants.
• We recommend installing two adjustable hexagonal head drippers to each plant with a 400mm root ball or larger. Positioned on opposite sides of the root ball to achieve consistent irrigation. This is the most effective and sustainable irrigation system.
• Purchasing a high quality timer for your irrigation system is a good investment as reliability is important.
• Irrigation systems and timers should be checked at least twice per year and batteries should be replaced at regular intervals.
• It is important to remember that as our climate changes your irrigation system will require adjustment.

HAND WATERING

• It is important your new plants are hand watered to supplement your irrigation system during the initial two weeks. This is also relevant during periods of extreme weather periods.
